A few weeks ago our friend and colleague, Stefan Grol of the Embiara Lodge was very fortunate, when during a stroll in the lodge's surroundings, he witnessed the elusive puma. The area around Embiara Lodge is bursting with wildlife, such as giant anteaters, giant otters, tapirs, macaws and even jaguars. While there are pumas, they are difficult to see as they are very shy of humans. They are more active at night, so Stefan could not believe his eyes and ears whenhe witnessed this adult female puma chase down and kill an adult male capybara in the lake beside the lodge.

Come and dive into the wonderful waters of countless waterfalls, canyons and rivers of the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park and surrounding region.

Feed-back Mike & Marcelle Thurlow
I just wanted to thank you for all the arrangements you made on our behalf for our recent trip to Brazil. Everything worked like clockwork and we never had to wait for more than a few minutes for anything. The hotels you recommended were all exactly what we wanted and we had a fantastic holiday. We could easily be tempted to come back again and if we do we won't hesitate to call on your services again.
I would like to make special mention of our guide in the Pantanal Allan Franco. He was absolutely superb, his English is excellent, his knowledge of the area and the wildlife also excellent, but above all was his enthusiasm and desire that we should see and enjoy as much as possible. He could not have been better and you can recommend him with complete confidence to future visitors. If we come back we will certainly insist he is our guide.
Thanks again
With best wishes

Jane van Dyke's Feedback on Tripadvisor
One of our former clients, Jane van Dyke, who traveled with us to the Amazon & Pantanal posted the following excellent review on Tripadvisor:
Two weeks spent in the jungles of the Pantanal and the Amazon was a trip of a lifetime for this group of 8 middle-aged friends. A birdwatcher's paradise, the Pantanal has the largest diversity of bird species in the world. Some of our favorites were the hyacinth macaws and a Harpy eagle. We stayed at environmentally-friendly jungle lodges, bungalows and fazendas and enjoyed gracious hospitality from our hosts and excellent meals featuring local specialities. Our English-speaking guides were charming and knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna of the region. Wildlife viewing included closeups of capivaras, caimans, cuatis, armadillos, snakes and much, much more. We enjoyed early morning hiking on ecological trails, afternoons lazing on a huge floating raft on the Rio Teles Pedis, canoeing and boat trips to spot exotic birds and beasts, 7 am horse back rides on gentle mounts, moonlight horse back rides, and photo safaris at night. The trip would not have been possible without the excellent assistance of Brazil Nature Tours, which made all the arrangements for us and tailored the trip to the interests of our group. Not a single glitch in two weeks of ecological trekking, wonderful adventures, great good times, and amazing photo shoots. Can't recommend BNT highly enough. Reasonably priced.
